Experienced Operations Executive for CNET, Ziff Davis and Time Warner Joins Provider of Dynamic Ad Insertion Platform for Downloaded Video and Audio

NEW YORK, NY (AlwaysOn OnMedia 2008) – Kiptronic, the leader in dynamic ad insertion for video and audio content, today announced the addition of Barry Briggs to its Board of Directors. Briggs is a veteran operations executive with a deep understanding of traditional and digital media from his senior executive roles with CNET Networks, ZDNet, Ziff Davis and Time Warner.

“Content distribution and consumption is in the midst of revolution driven by the ubiquity of the Internet and the explosion of devices capable of playing video and audio content,” Briggs said. “Kiptronic’s adoption by leading TV, online, newspaper and radio brands demonstrates that they understand what publishers are looking for by way of frictionless solutions that keep them in control of how they monetize their video and audio assets”.”

While with CNET Networks, Briggs served as President and Chief Operating Officer during a period in which the company’s leadership in online marketing led to several significant innovations, including new interactive advertising units, and back–end data intelligence that provided customers with invaluable insights into marketing effectiveness.

Prior to that, Briggs served as President of Media at CNET following the 2000 merger of CNET and ZDNet. With ZDNet, Briggs held several high–level executive positions including President from 1999 until its merger with CNET. Briggs also served on the executive board of the Online Publishers Association (OPA), as well as the Interactive Advertising Bureau.

Briggs was just recently appointed Principal of the Jackson Hole Group, an executive-level consultancy based in San Francisco/San Jose that counsels CEOs, Boards, and C-suite executives on the most important organizational and people challenges they face.

“Kiptronic is ecstatic to add Barry’s digital media expertise to our board,” said Bill Loewenthal, President and CEO of Kiptronic. “He represents the voice of the customer because he understands the critical role Kiptronic plays for publishers. Our multi–device, multi–platform approach provides media companies with solutions that allow them to manage, measure and monetize the delivery of advertising in content consumed online and downloaded to devices like MP3 players and laptops.”

Kiptronic’s workflow and ad–serving solutions are delivered as a service through leading content delivery networks such as Akamai and Mirror Image. Customers include leading online, TV, magazine, newspaper and radio publishers.
